OOC: Omnia Code of Conduct

CODE OF CONDUCT FOR [OMNIA] CLAN IN THE NATION OF REMEMBRANCE (NoR)
As a player with [OMNIA] you are expected to represent the faction positively on an OOC level. At the end of the day we are each here to enjoy this game, through the changes and challenges. Every action you take should be driven by roleplay, and held within the expectations listed below.
*************************************************************

1) Always abide by the Second Life Policies & Guidelines. (http://secondlife.com/policy/)

2) Have a clear understanding of all of NoR's rules and regulations. (http://www.landofnor.com/norwiki/index.php/Main_Page#Rules). If you are ever unsure about a rule, ask one of the clan leaders or contact Admin via /9admin in local chat.

3) Avoid excessive use of sound bites, gestures and animations that do not enhance your roleplay.

4) Make an effort to roleplay before and/or after each and every WARPS-based combat encounter. And just because someone is "enemy" does not mean you should automatically engage them in combat. That is, no one should be randomly attacking without a valid in-character reason.

5) Win or lose, always play fair and be the "Bigger Person". Accepting that you won't win every fight and offering your best roleplay even during WARPS defeat is key to enjoying this game.

6) If you have roleplay limits, be sure to list them in your profile. However, you are encouraged to keep an open mind when it comes to your personal restrictions; NoR is, after all, promoted as a dark roleplay sim.

7) Everyone has his/her own style of roleplay. Expect varying levels in ability as well. Whether roleplaying your victory or defeat in WARPS, or engaging in combat-free roleplay, lead by example. Always offer what you expect in return, and do your best to encourage those who may still be finding their roleplay comfort zone. Moreover, establish your character. You should not be here roleplaying a cartoon version of yourself. Instead, you should be acting as both a writer and actor, developing a storyline and growing your character in the NoR environment.

8) Join all NoR groups: Land of NoR, WARPS Support Channel and NoR Chatterbugs. Also consider opening an account to access the forums at www.landofnor.com. These are all valuable resources for information.

9) Be patient and respectful of each player you interact with on an Out of Character level. If there is an issue, try to work it out maturely before involving Admin. And always be willing to accept responsibility for your actions. No one is perfect, but everyone is here to have fun!

10) Always, always be very clear about what is meant In Character and what is meant Out of Character. If it is Out of Character, never fail to use ((brackets)) or begin chat with /99 in local. More importantly, exercise self control when tempted to speak negatively Out of Character. Name calling, accusations of cheating and general poor sportsmanship Out of Character should be avoided at all times.

11) Any member of [OMNIA] who is also a member of an other NoR faction will be asked to choose one or the other, or be asked to leave the [OMNIA] groups. (This, of course, does not apply to alternate accounts, but you are expected to treat each account as a separate character and to avoid cross-roleplaying at all costs.)

12) Both the Blue Tooth Omnia Com and the OMNIA (Nor Clan) group should be considered In Character at all times. They are meant to enhance roleplay and should be considered radio channels in play. For any Out of Character chat or business, please use the OMNIA [OOC] group IM.

13) Always be polite and respectful to NoR staff and Admin. Always.

14) NEVER Godmod, metagame or take advantage of game exploits. If you are unclear of what this means, speak to [OMNIA] leadership. If you are found guilty of cheating in-game, you will be automatically ejected from the group. Fairplay is of paramount importance.

15) Out of Character drama within the faction will not be tolerated. If you have a problem, bring it to [OMNIA] leadership to mediate. We should all be friends Out of Character. We are playing a game together. Never lose sight of that.

Introduction...

"OMNIA MUTANTUR, NOS ET MUTAMUR IN ILLIS"

All things are changing, and we are changing with them.

Decades have passed since the start of the conflict in NoR. We are those of the ancient forces released into the land in the beginning. We are the ones who have adapted to the harsh realities of this existence, and grown stronger for it. We are the conductors. A council of survivors. All furious. All with knowledge. All to be revered, if not feared.

From change was born [OMNIA].
